Many customers have been waiting for it: the new Sylvac S_Head_Smart digital micrometric stop is now available to order!

Offering an excellent precision/price ratio, this micrometer head has been specially designed to meet two key requirements:

1) Fine adjustment of heavy XY coordinate tables

Thanks to its screw drive system, this head enables precise positioning and fine adjustment in the X and Y axes of even the heaviest coordinate tables.

Its particularly robust construction, resolution down to 0.1 µm and IP65 protection make it an excellent choice for demanding environments.

2) Use as XL micrometer

   a) Immediate use with third-party frame

This micrometer head can already be used as a large-capacity digital micrometer, by combining it with a gooseneck frame supplied by a third party.

   b) Sylvac complete solution (available in September 2025)

From September 2025, Sylvac will offer a ready-to-use solution: micrometer head + assembled gooseneck frame (ranging from 100 to 1000 mm, in 100 mm increments). Each kit will be delivered with two certified gauges and a calibration certificate.

This solution represents a more cost-effective alternative to 3D measurement, and is more accurate than wide caliper measurement (UL), for the measurement of large parts in sectors such as aerospace, automotive or energy.
